Read
what Charles said
In
1999, when Masood Azhar was released after the Indian airline hijacking
incident, the Indian Express published an article about my role with the Indian
government. Jaswant Singh was in my contact. First of all, he sent a man to
meet me in Paris.
After
that meeting and talking to Jaswant Singh, I contacted people from Harkat ul
Ansar, Masood's party. They refused to release the passengers, but I managed to
get a promise from them that they would not harm the passengers for the next 11
days. Will deliver
Then
I called Jaswant Singh, told him that India has 11 days to negotiate. The
reality is that the Government of India had no other option but to release
Masood to save the passengers.
After
a few days I got a call from Jaswant Singh. He was sitting with Masood. He
asked me to speak to Masood. They wanted me to try to persuade him to ask his
men to release the abducted passengers.
I
refused to talk, told him that Masood would never agree to this. I clearly told
Jaswant that I am sure after 11 days they will start killing people.
After
that call I spoke again with Jaswant Singh and told him another option that if
Government of India gives an undertaking that Masood will be released within
six months then I will try my best to talk to Harkat ul Ansar on that basis .
Jaswant
Singh told me that he would discuss with the cabinet. But eventually they chose
to release Masood. I was sure that if the government had listened to me at that
time, I might have been able to persuade Harkat-ul-Ansar.
I will file a case against many people including the
Government of
Nepal - Charles came out of jail in Nepal after 19
years and was sent to France on Friday evening itself. According to Nepal's
Home Department Secretary Phanindra Mani Pokharel, Charles has been banned from
entering Nepal for 10 years.
However, in a discussion with the media, Charles
Sobhraj said that he is innocent and will continue to fight for justice.
Charles said - I have a lot to do. I have to file a case against many people
including the Government of Nepal.
Randeep Hooda should do my biopic
Charles said about the film being made on his life-
"I don't know whether the biopic will be made or not, let's see after my
book comes out. Maybe a Hindi film will be made. And if so, So I want Randeep
Hooda to play me again. He gave a great performance in 'Main Aur Charles'. I
met Hooda in October last year and I like him. I think he is one of the top
actors of Bollywood Will be included."
Wife said – Charles was in danger, so deportation was
the best
Charles's wife Nihita Biswas told ANI that Charles'
life was in danger in Nepal. That's why it was right to deport him. Nihita, who
is also Charles's lawyer, is said to have married Charles while he was in
Kathmandu jail. Nihita told that Charles was supposed to stay in Nepal for 15
days on the orders of the court, but the jail authorities tried to accuse him
of some other charges, so his departure was the right decision.
